Values, Vision & Mission
Values:
Our values are based on the core principle that we want to be centred on Jesus. Our faith in Him is at the heart of who we are and what we do.
Our values describe who we are as Chelmsford Community Church. They are key characteristics that we value and emphasise within our church. They sit alongside the statement of faith which presents what we believe.
Community
-
We maintain that the church should be a community and should be a fundamental part of the wider community it serves. We recognise and value the people we meet and want to be visible and valued as we support and encourage the community around us.
Growth and discipleship
-
We believe that Jesus wants us to grow more like him. We want to remain teachable, willing to listen and able to develop more character – always growing and always bible-based. We want to embrace new vision and always be ready to respond as the Holy Spirit guides us.
Service
-
We believe that Jesus came as the servant king. We choose to serve, putting Jesus’ purposes as our personal priorities. We believe in giving our time and resources into his service.
Welcome
-
We welcome all without judgement and willingly extend the love that we receive from Jesus to everyone who comes into contact with the church.
Worship
-
We believe that our lives should be such that everything we do is an act of worship to God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit - in public and in private. Prayer and worship are constant features of our daily lives.
Vision: What do we see?
A welcoming people, sharing their Saviour’s love, serving their community. That Jesus is known and worshipped; and that the church is visible, active and relevant to the community it serves.
Mission: What do we do?
Building a strong healthy vibrant church and reaching out to the community.
