Some key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?

Chelmsford Community Church meets every Sunday at 10.30am. The service is livestreamed on Facebook if you can't make it. Watch it here

We meet at:
Trent Road Centre,
Trent Road,
CM1 2LQ.

You can see a map on our contact us page.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome, particularly from our Welcome Team, who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. There will be approximately 10-20 mins of singing and prayers.

After the sung worship, there will be a preach from one of the leaders at Chelmsford Community Church - with a chance to respond at the end of the service.  We usually have a chance for more singing after the preach and we aim to finish our service by about 11:30am.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after our service, giving time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What sort of a church are you?

Chelmsford Community Church was born out of the house-church movement, over 40 years ago. As time has gone by, there have been many changes to the way we do things. We are not governed by any other organisation, but we are affiliated to Ground Level. The leadership team have total responsibility for how the church operates, although much advice is taken before decisions are made. We have excellent relationships with many of the other Pastors in Chelmsford, India and the Ukraine.

What happens to the children at church?

We have a fantastic programme for the children and young people at Chelmsford Community Church. Children stay with their parents for the first part of the service as we worship together. Someone will announce when the children and young adults need to go to their groups.

If you are planning to come, your children are able to remain with you for the entire service - it doesn't matter if they make a bit of noise.  For more information about what happens in the children's work please look at the children's work and youth pages.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate, as much as feels comfortable for you! Don't feel under any pressure to get involved in anything that is happening.

We may be running late ... is that okay?

Of course it is! You can sneak in at the back at anytime. If you have children with you, they can be directed to their various sessions! If it's your first time, ask one of the welcome team on the door where to go.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them?

Please feel free to contact us.
